Country music legend Reba McEntire just dropped some exciting news, and fans everywhere are celebrating.
At 69 years old, Reba is set to host the Academy of Country Music Awards for the 17th time, officially making her the most frequent host in the show’s history. That’s more times than any other artist — including country greats like Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks.
And if you ask Reba, she’s just as thrilled as ever.
“I am tickled to pieces to get to host the ACM Awards for the 17th time!” she said. “It’s an honor to be part of the past, present, and future of the Academy of Country Music, especially with Amazon Prime Video. I can’t wait to get to Texas and see everybody on May 16th!”
ACM CEO Damon Whiteside echoed that excitement:
“No one has a deeper connection to the ACMs than Reba. With new music coming, a strong TV presence, and fans all over the globe, she’s back — and better than ever.”
But Reba didn’t stop there…
She also surprised fans on Instagram with a major announcement: she’ll be debuting brand-new music during the awards show.
“Oh hey @ACMawards, have you missed me?” she teased. “I’ll be hosting this year’s show and performing brand-new music!”
Of course, fans were quick to flood the comments:
-
“I’m sorry, NEW music?!???!?!”
-
“Yes @reba… we’ve missed seeing you host! You are the best!!! Thank you @acmawards for bringing back our Queen!!”
Don’t miss it — the 2024 ACM Awards stream live on Prime Video, May 16. With Reba at the helm and new songs on the way, it’s shaping up to be a night fans won’t forget.
