Brian Wilson, the musical genius who co-founded the iconic American band The Beach Boys, has passed away at the age of 82, his family announced.

In a heartfelt message shared on his official Instagram account, his family wrote:

Wilson, born on June 20, 1942, in Inglewood, California, was more than just a musician — he was a groundbreaking songwriter, singer, and producer who helped define the sound of the 1960s.
