Kache’s grandmother discovered he was missing the next morning and called police. Despite a thorough initial search, he wasn’t found until later—tragically inside the toy chest where he had accidentally trapped himself. The medical examiner ruled his cause of death as positional asphyxiation.

Authorities determined the death was accidental. The Hurricane Police Department shared their condolences, and the community continues to grieve this devastating loss.
