After a life-changing surgery, little Luna Fenner is nearly unrecognizable—and her transformation is nothing short of incredible.
Known to many as the “Batman Mask Girl” because of a rare birthmark covering much of her face, Luna underwent a major cosmetic surgery on June 20—at just five years old. The procedure, performed overseas, marked another big step in her journey to remove the mark that had shaped much of her young life.
Luna’s mother, Carol Fenner, faced months of paperwork and visa hurdles to make the surgery happen. But her determination paid off. The night before the operation, Carol posted an emotional message on social media:
“Tomorrow is a big day—Luna’s first cosmetic surgery. We hope to fix her eyelids, which stay open when she sleeps, and improve her skin’s flexibility. Luna is ready and excited. Please keep us in your prayers.”
The next day, Carol shared a heartwarming video of Luna dancing with a small bandage on her face, just 12 hours after surgery. “She’s doing great,” Carol wrote, adding that Luna would stay in the hospital for three more days.
Luna’s journey began early—her first procedure was at just six months old. American doctors had recommended a series of surgeries with a price tag of over $200,000. So the family looked abroad, where they found expert care at a fraction of the cost.
Now, thanks to that bold decision and Luna’s courage, she can look forward to life with more confidence and fewer stares. Her smile says it all: she’s ready for the world.
