Mikayla Raines, the founder of Save a Fox Rescue and a beloved YouTube personality, passed away in June 2025, leaving behind a powerful legacy of compassion, advocacy, and resilience. Her husband, Ethan, shared the heartbreaking news in an emotional video, revealing that Mikayla had quietly struggled for years with depression and borderline personality disorder. Despite her fierce devotion to animals, the weight of online harassment and relentless criticism took a heavy toll.

Mikayla’s journey into animal rescue began at age 15, when a chance encounter with a fox during a volunteer experience ignited a lifelong passion.
