Urfan Sharif, who brutally killed his 10-year-old daughter Sara in August 2023, was attacked in prison on New Year’s Day. Sara suffered over 70 injuries in what was described as a prolonged pattern of abuse. In a handwritten note, Sharif confessed, saying, “I lost it,” though he claimed he didn’t mean to kill her.
After fleeing to Pakistan with his wife, Beinash Batool, and brother, Faisal Malik, the trio were extradited and sentenced in December 2024. Sharif received life with a minimum of 40 years, Batool at least 33 years, and Malik 16 years.
Sara’s mother, Olga Domin, called them “executioners” in court, saying her daughter is now “an angel.”
Sharif was targeted shortly after arriving at HMP Belmarsh—stabbed with a homemade weapon fashioned from a tuna can lid. One of the attackers is believed to be Steve Sansom, a convicted double murderer. According to prison insiders, many felt the attack was “inevitable.”
