Nicole Lucas Hallson, a loving mom and teacher, is on a mission to redefine beauty—thanks to her spirited daughter, Winry. Born in February 2021, Winry has a rare skin condition called congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN), which left a large birthmark on her face.
Though the mark was unexpected, Nicole chose love over fear. She and her partner educated themselves about CMN and began sharing Winry’s story to raise awareness and promote acceptance. “For many, Winry is the first child they’ve seen with a birthmark like this,” Nicole says.
Nicole’s biggest hope? That Winry grows up confident and proud. And with her infectious laugh, sass, and bright spirit, she’s already showing the world that true beauty lies in being yourself.
