We were laughing around the campfire — tea in hand, guitar in mine — when my friends’ faces suddenly froze. Someone shouted my name and pointed behind me.
I turned… and there it was. A massive bear, just a few steps away, staring straight at me.
Instinct said to run, but instead I kept playing. To our shock, the bear didn’t attack. It simply sat down, tilting its head as if listening to the music.
For a few minutes, we stayed like that — a circle of friends, a wild bear, and the quiet forest around us. Then, without a sound, it turned and disappeared into the trees.
We sat frozen, hearts pounding, knowing we’d just shared a moment with nature that we’d never forget.
