Susan Sarandon has long been a Hollywood legend — and she’s never been one to shy away from speaking her mind, both on and off the screen.
The Oscar-winning actress has built an impressive career, from her breakout role as Janet Weiss in the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show to her unforgettable performance in Thelma & Louise, which earned her an Academy Award nomination. She eventually took home the Oscar for her powerful role in Dead Man Walking. Decades later, Sarandon is still going strong — and still not taking any nonsense.
Known for her unapologetic style and fierce advocacy, Sarandon recently made headlines again — not for a new movie, but for an outfit. At a red carpet event, she turned heads by pairing a crisp white jacket with a black bra. Some online critics were quick to call the look “inappropriate,” but Sarandon didn’t waste time arguing. Instead, she posted a vintage photo of herself in lingerie, proudly owning her body and shutting down the haters without saying a word.
It was classic Sarandon: bold, defiant, and totally in control.
She’s also been refreshingly honest about aging. In an interview, Sarandon shared how getting older brings perspective: “When you understand time is precious, you stop wasting it on small stuff and surround yourself with people who are curious, brave, and alive.”
As for her beauty routine? It’s all about the basics: eat well, laugh often, get some exercise, stay out of the sun — and yes, a little help from a glam squad doesn’t hurt.
At 70-plus, Sarandon continues to challenge the norms of Hollywood — and society — with grace, grit, and zero apologies. She’s not following trends or catering to critics. She’s doing Susan.
What do you think of her fearless approach?
