A Washington community is reeling after three young sisters—Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5—were found murdered at a remote campsite during a court-ordered visit with their father, Travis Decker, who is now missing and wanted for their deaths.
Investigators revealed that male blood was found at the Rock Island Campground where the girls’ bodies were discovered in a tent near Decker’s abandoned truck. They also found bloody handprints on the vehicle. Authorities believe the male blood likely belongs to Decker. A second blood sample was non-human.
The 39-year-old father, a former Army soldier with survival training, vanished after failing to return the girls to their mother on May 30. A search effort—now involving federal agents—is focused on rugged terrain near Highway 97 and Blewett Pass. A lone, suspicious hiker spotted near Colchuck Lake triggered a new lead, with K9 teams now tracking the trail.
Decker is charged with murder, kidnapping, and fleeing prosecution. Officials warn he may be armed and trying to escape to Canada. Anyone with tips is urged to contact Chelan County authorities immediately.
