Just days after graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Communication Studies, 22-year-old Timothy Howard of Massachusetts died unexpectedly on May 24 from a severe allergic reaction to peanuts.
According to his parents, Tim and Patty Howard, the reaction happened overnight. Despite using an EpiPen and calling 911, efforts to save him were unsuccessful.
Timothy’s mother shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, encouraging others to hold their loved ones close and lead with kindness.
In his honor, Timothy’s fraternity launched a fundraiser benefiting Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), which has already raised more than $27,000.
Friends describe Timothy as kind-hearted, ambitious, and deeply loved. Though his life ended far too soon, his legacy lives on through the awareness and compassion inspired by his story.
