Greg Gutfeld Shocks Fox News Team by Naming Baby Daughter After Beloved Network Star

In a heartwarming and totally unexpected moment on the set of Gutfeld!, host Greg Gutfeld shared some personal news that left everyone stunned — he and his wife named their baby girl after one of Fox News’ most familiar faces.

The reveal came during Monday night’s taping, when Gutfeld casually dropped the news while joking with his co-hosts. “We went through a hundred names,” he said. “But the one that stuck just felt right — not just to us, but to what she already means to our little world. So… we named her Dana.”

Yep — Dana, as in Dana Perino, co-host of The Five and former White House Press Secretary.

The studio audience erupted in applause, but it was Dana’s reaction that truly stole the spotlight. She looked completely shocked, covering her mouth as she teared up on camera.

“I’m absolutely floored,” Perino said, visibly emotional. “Greg and I have been friends for years, and I’ve always known him to be thoughtful — in his own hilarious way — but this… this is something I’ll never forget.”

Behind the scenes, it turns out the choice had more meaning than just friendship. A senior crew member shared, “Greg’s always admired Dana’s strength, intelligence, and grace. He told us off-camera he hopes his daughter grows up to embody those same qualities.”

Gutfeld’s wife, Elena Moussa, was all in on the name from the beginning. According to a close friend, “Elena actually suggested it first. They both felt it carried real meaning. And funny enough, their baby girl already has Dana’s eyes — strong and curious.”

The couple welcomed their daughter five months ago but had kept her name private until now. The news sparked a wave of celebration across the Fox News family, with hosts from The Five to Fox & Friends sending their congratulations on-air and across social media.

Jesse Watters joked, “Guess I’ll have to name my next kid ‘Greg,’” while Judge Jeanine Pirro chimed in with, “That baby’s got a legacy already.”

Will baby Dana follow in her namesake’s footsteps? Only time will tell — but one thing’s for sure: this sweet story just gave cable news a rare and touching moment to celebrate.
