Last Sunday, a churchgoer was unsettled when a woman covered in tattoos and piercings joined the service. To her, church has always been a place of modesty, and the woman’s appearance felt out of place.
After the service, she approached the woman and gently suggested her look might not be appropriate for church. The woman firmly responded, “It’s none of your business how I look,” leaving the worshipper confused and questioning her own perspective.
She later asked others, “Am I being old-fashioned? Shouldn’t there be some standards in a place of worship?”
Many disagreed, saying faith welcomes everyone, regardless of appearance. One person put it simply: “Good on her for having faith—never judge someone until you’ve walked in their shoes.”
