Deadly at North Carolina House Party Leaves 1

What began as a summer pool party turned into a nightmare in Mountain View, North Carolina, early Sunday morning, June 1. Around 12:45 a.m., gunfire erupted at a home on Walnut Acres Drive, leaving one person dead and eleven others injured.

Roughly 100 people, including minors, were at the gathering when shots were fired in both the front and back yards, with the violence even spilling into a neighbor’s property. One victim remains in critical condition, and several others are still hospitalized.

Authorities confirmed that multiple weapons were used, but no arrests have been made. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, along with state and local agencies, continues to investigate. Anyone with information is urged to call 828-464-3112.

Our hearts are with the victims and their families during this heartbreaking time.
