A firefighter known for saving lives found himself in need of rescue after a freak accident at home.
While doing routine maintenance, his ladder slipped, sending him crashing to the ground and knocking him unconscious. Neighbors, alarmed by the noise, rushed over and called 911. Paramedics quickly arrived and took him to the hospital.
