A video went viral claiming a trainer named Jessica Radcliffe was killed by an orca during a live show. It spread quickly on TikTok, but the story was completely fake.
E! found no record of the woman or the incident, and experts confirmed the clip was AI-generated using old footage and synthetic voices. The hoax even pushed a bizarre claim about “menstrual blood” to grab attention.
In truth, the video borrowed details from two real tragedies: the deaths of trainers Alexis Martínez in 2009 and Dawn Brancheau in 2010, which later inspired the documentary Blackfish.
