Anthony Loffredo, a 34-year-old from France, has spent the past decade transforming himself into what he calls “The Black Alien.” Once a security guard, he left his job at 24 to fully commit to extreme body modification. His changes include full-body tattoos, a split tongue, removed ears and upper lip, tattooed eyes, subdermal implants, and even removing two fingers to form an “alien claw.”
With 850,000 Instagram followers, Loffredo says he’s only a third of the way toward his vision—plans that involve reshaping his head and limbs, and even replacing skin with metal. The journey has made relationships and work difficult, but he says his only regret is not starting earlier. Through it all, his mother has remained supportive, once telling him, “A mother would never judge her son.”
Now living in Barcelona, Loffredo continues pushing his transformation while sharing not just his appearance, but how the world reacts to it.
