Tattooed Dad Starts Process of Removing Full-Body Ink

From Extreme Ink to Second Thoughts: Australian Tattoo Enthusiast Shares His Story of Regret and Renewal

Ethan “ModBoy” Bramble, an Australian known for taking body art to the extreme, made headlines for his dramatic appearance—featuring over 200 tattoos, stretched earlobes, a split tongue, and even the removal of his belly button. His transformation, which began at just 11 years old, has cost him nearly $39,000 and made him a standout figure in the world of body modification.

But now, Ethan is opening up about a side of the lifestyle that rarely gets attention: regret.

In a recent candid interview, he shared how his once-prized facial tattoos have become a source of struggle. What he once saw as a bold form of self-expression now impacts his daily life in ways he didn’t expect. His biggest worry? How his appearance might affect his young daughter—especially the way others might judge her because of his choices.

What used to feel like liberation has started to feel more like a burden.

Determined to make a change, Ethan has started the long and painful process of laser tattoo removal. It’s expensive, time-consuming, and physically tough—but he’s hopeful it will help him feel more at ease with himself and how he fits into the world around him.

Though he doesn’t completely regret who he’s become, Ethan says the experience has taught him a lot about growth and self-reflection. His journey is a powerful reminder that no matter how permanent something might seem—there’s always a chance to start over.
